It is funny and entertaining, but, unlike what the book jacket claims, it is not that scandalous. Even if true, for the sake of good writing, this should have been downplayed to keep the focus of story not on what a jerk the narrator was but rather on what a twisted business pharmaceutical drug sales is. Also, as someone who has worked in sales, its interesting to see how similar (and more so different) a drug rep is.
Totally blindsided of the fact that the only reason why i bought this book was for 2 reasons 1) borders was closing and i couldnt help but to buy some books in its final days. Basically, i would have stopped reading the book had i not worked in pharma advertising (i wrote the stuff the sales reps used to sell). Reidys second book bachelor 101 cooking cleaning closing is a cookbooklifestyle guide for single guys.
But its a goo the book was a good book, regardless of the fact that it seriously had nothing to do with the movie. From my understanding, love & other drugs (the movie with anne hathaway and jake gyllenhaal) was based off this book. Its a damn shame that the producers took this book and made it into a dramaticromantic movie.
There is very little similarity between the two - this is written by my high school friends brother. Ultimately, it was in large party my ethical incompatibility that drove me from the pharma industry, so i was curious to see what jamie reidy had to say. Half the book is just about being a pharma rep, not about being a pharma rep who sells viagra (he initially sold zithromax and other stuff).
Amor pelo quê? Pelo trabalho? Ele no o tinha! Ele um completo desorganizado, sem métodos de trabalho, s queria festa e descanso. Now hes a grown up man, a successful author and more importantly, in the movie version of his book jake gyllenhal plays him. I liked that he wrote about his personal experiences and didnt feel the need to make any kind of broader statement-he lets the reader make his or her o ive been simultaneously interested in and disturbed by the practice of pharmaceutical sales for quite some time and was curious to read this insiders account of his time in the industry.
I promise - not all pharma reps are this bad! He had to work hard at not working. Reidy traces his ups and downs as a rep for giant drug manufacturer pfizer, maker of some of the most widely prescribed and used drugs in existence, including viagra. Ed sample pack 1 consists of a two well-known medications (viagra and cialis) designed for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. I think hes critical of their way of doing business because hes not quite used to the real, working world. Also, by the time i was 75-80 through the book i was sort of done with it.

There were many events i could relate with in what was formerly known as big pharma that were true and comical at times. The accounts mentioned in the book are most definitely accurate in terms of what has happened in the realm of pharmaceutical marketing. Zithromax is a macrolide antibiotic to treat infections of upper and low respiratory tract, especially ear infections, pneumonia.
Youll find yourself rooting for reidy and at the same time, youll be shocked by the realities of the world that paid his salary. The book was a good book, regardless of the fact that it seriously had nothing to do with the movie. There is very little similarity between the two - other than the main character is a drug rep named jamie. Hard sel jamie reidy is to the pharmaceutical business what jerry maguire was to professional sports and frank abagnale (catch me if you can) was to bank fraud. I liked love and other drugs, the movie which is supposedly based off the book, but they are very loosely related.
Propranolol works by decreasing the action of pacemaker cells and slowing certain impulses in the heart. I brought it home for him, like a cute puppy from the pound, and hope he liked it. I do know reps like this - reps who hold on to 2 pharma jobs (simultaneously!), reps who leave voice mails on successful appointments with doctors who theyve actually never even met. Totally blindsided of the fact that the only reason why i bought this book was for 2 reasons 1) borders was closing and i couldnt help but to buy some books in its final days. Viagra is often the first treatment tried for erectile dysfunction in men and pulmonary arterial hypertension. I wouldve been pissed off that the book and the movie are pretty much mutually exclusive. Half the book is just about being a pharma rep, not about being a pharma rep who sells viagra (he initially sold zithromax and other stuff). . I love memoirs but this was unbearably poor writing by a seemingly self-absorbed man este livro é bastante leve e engraçado. I dont feel like he divulged any big secrets of pfizer or any other drug company.First, take a look at the plot summary ... selling book Hard Sell: The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman by ... by Jamie Reidy and stars Jake as Jamie, ...
